Every first evening of the fest we feature a film shot in the San Marcos area; for 2019, it’s recently departed Peter Fonda’s 1975 action/horror/car-chase film. A couples’ hill-country vacation in an RV takes an unpleasant turn when a satanic cult stalks them mercilessly; struggling to escape central Texas, little Fischer serves as a key destination in their desperate pursuit of safety. RACE WITH THE DEVIL was also shot in Wimberley.
